The Beginning

Introducing Dikari: A Perfume Travel Case Born from a Passion for Fragrance

I have always loved and enjoyed perfumes, but like most perfume lovers, my fragrance journey began on YouTube circa 2018. I quickly took this new obsession from online to the real world, spending hours at Selfridges and the rest.. with brand reps who were probably sick of me. It was all so exciting and new, from the thrill of blind-buying (buying a fragrance without ever smelling it) to discovering different fragrance notes and DNAs. I grew my perfume collection and increased my budget - I went from spending £60 on a new fragrance twice a year to justifying a £250 purchase on a fragrance I swore made me feel like a french-arab aristocrat. This new hobby unlocked a new fear: the tragic but real possibility of my perfumes breaking while travelling.

The conventional advice of wrapping perfume bottles in towels or socks did not work for me because I knew my babies (perfumes) deserved better, and since I couldn’t find a better alternative, I decided to create one. I wanted a design that was both stylish and functional. Knowing the importance of temperature control in preserving fragrance longevity, I wanted to incorporate an innovative cooling feature to make the product stand out, as there was nothing like it on the market.

After countless heartbreaking iterations and testing, I proudly unveiled a one-of-a-kind travel case that not only protects perfumes but also keeps them cool. As a fragrance enthusiast myself, I knew the importance of having a versatile design that accommodates a variety of bottle shapes and sizes.

This journey was the start of something truly special. It opened my eyes to a gap in the market and reshaped my perception of luxury. Luxury is more than quality materials and inflated price tags; it is about exceeding expectations and enhancing experiences. I decided to create a lifestyle brand that creates innovative, solution-oriented garments and accessories designed for convenience. So kids, this is how Dikari was born.
